Shelley and Logan: on the eve of the big day
Dick and I have known Shelley for several years, but I would be lying if I said that we knew her well. We’ve been to quite a few of the same parties over the years, and have shared some fun memories, but we never really spent a lot of time getting to know each other. That is, until she fell in love with Logan and asked us to photograph their wedding.
I have said before that there is no bigger compliment than to be asked to photograph friends and I couldn’t be more grateful that Shelley and Logan reached out to us. Not only because theirs was such a beautiful and happy celebration, but also because it gave us the opportunity to spend some time with them and get to know them better. Our first “business meeting” to discuss the contract and logistics turned from brunch to an entire day filled with stories (and mimosas) and from that point on, they included us not just as wedding vendors, but as friends.
We just happened to be available the evening before their wedding – so we joined them at their rehearsal as their “friendographers” to capture some family photos and enjoy the festivities with them. Here are a few of my favorites of the two of them from that evening.
