Alison and Bill: New Years Eve at the Prado
What a treat to spend the last moments of 2015 (and the first moments of 2016) with such a lovely and warm couple! They met not as Alison and Bill, but as jurors 7 and 8, when they served on a case together. What began with discussions about evidence and verdict eventually turned into much more, and here they are with their loved ones, promising to love one another for the rest of their lives.
Alison and Bill were married in the historic Saint Francis Chapel in Balboa Park. Their romantic, candle-lit ceremony was tastefully decorated by Four Seasons Flowers with seasonal greenery and twinkling lights (with a few little critters looking on as well, as you’ll see in the photos). Alison’s sister officiated the thoughtful and personal ceremony as beautifully as many of the professional officiants we’ve seen.
After the ceremony, Alison surprised Bill with a bagpiper serenade as the whole group walked to the reception at the Prado‘s Loggia Room, where the elegant centerpieces were spilling over with sparkly New Years decorations and party favors. Waiting there to entertain us was the fabulous cocktail crooner, Barry Allen Cohen. All of the details were seamlessly coordinated by Jessica of Blue Stocking Weddings & Events.
Thank you so much for asking us to be your photographers. Dick and I had a wonderful time celebrating with you! Happy New Year, and happy new life!
