Katrina and Omar: Old Town San Diego Wedding
I love Katrina and Omar’s love story. In 2006 and 2007 they both worked for the same company, both lived in Los Angeles, had the same friends, and even went to the same happy hours, but never met each other. Eventually Katrina moved back to Michigan and Omar moved to San Diego. Then, in 2012, Facebook recommended them to each other because they had so many friends in common. Omar requested, and Katrina accepted.
The couple now lives in Michigan, but they love San Diego and decided to make theirs a destination wedding here. Rather than the expected oceanfront / beach setting, however, they decided to celebrate in Old Town. Their family and friends took over the Cosmopolitan Hotel and threw a beautiful and unique party, that incorporated several Old Town vendors. In addition to the ceremony and reception, other details like the rings and even the cigars all came from Old Town merchants. Oh – and to get an idea of their ‘fun level’ be sure to check out those cake toppers!
