Caitlyn and Ryan: when runners fall in love…
They met on a run, and sat across from each other at a cafe afterwards. As they put it “she noticed his eyes; he noticed her smile.” A few months later, they started talking and hit it off. Fast forward to four years later… Ryan packed an engagement ring in his CamelBak and proposed to Caitlyn on the Golden Gate Bridge during the last miles of his ultra-marathon.
We met Caitlyn and Ryan at the Bridal Bazaar and really enjoyed talking with them. They were super laid back, yet full of smiles and excitement about their wedding. Suffice it to say that we were thrilled when they decided to book us as their wedding photographers.
Engagement photos are always a great way to get to know a couple a little better – we love that we can take that little extra time to capture the natural connection between them. I loved that this session in particular is such a great reflection of who Caitlyn and Ryan are as a couple. Instead of spending hours at a single spot, we instead spent just a little bit of time at a few locations that were special to them. We started bright and early that morning at Gordy’s Bakery, a spot with great coffee and a ton of character near to where they live. We then headed to the train tracks in Lecuadia to take some photos of the two of them in their running shoes. And we ended up with a mini-hike at Batiquitos Lagoon.
