Michelle and Chris – so much romance at Britt Scripps Manor

I feel like I don’t really even need to say anything about Michelle and Chris because their expressions when they look at each other say so much on their own. I adore how much these two adore each other and would have been thrilled to photograph their wedding no matter where it was held. But holy cow, this venue was so amazing!

Britt Scripps Manor was built in 1887 and at the time was the most expensive home in San Diego. We took some photos around the property last year, when Shannan and Harry’s were married, because this is where they got ready, but they were married elsewhere because the site was not yet a wedding venue. Now it is, and the improvements they made have turned it into a stunning place to have a ceremony and smaller reception. We loved everything about this wedding – the site, the beautifully executed details, and of course the fantastic people, especially our bride and groom. I really hope you enjoy these photos as much as we do!

nice socks, Chris!

guests are asked to write notes for the couple to read on their 1st, 5th, 10th, 25th and 50th anniversaries
Michelle and Chris decide to write their own notes to each other to read on future anniversaries

Thank you, Michelle and Chris, for asking us to capture these images for you! We loved working with you both so much!!
